Golden in Google

WOHOOOO! okay I'm in google, that's something no?
Off to take my preGED english test and to celebrate a friends birthday.
Expect a hipster post in.... a day?

"Ring Ring Ring"- the Cell Phone (No Longer) Goes.

Cell phones are essential.
One day without them- you can survive, but barely. I forgot my cellphone in the cab that takes me to school one day luckily for me I know the drivers number and he stopped by the school to give it back to me- but for those 5 painful hours I was going crazy.
The cell phone is everything nowdays, a camera, a watch, a calender, a music player, an internet provider, and most importantly a means of communication.
This last week my own phone, a humble Nokia 6280i slider Phone stopped sending text messages, I was left to actually listening in my classes, calling people to tell them things that really I'd rather they read- not so nice telling someone you can't go out with them tonight on the phone, texting is so much easier.
More than that, Phones are a fashion statement- from colour to design to the obvious price tag they tell the world something about you.
Anyway here are some cool phones- some affordable and some... less.

"T-Mobile Sidekick ID"

Thise phone is a bit big, and thus klunky. Not the phone you shove into your back pocket one the way to walk the dog- you put this into your hoodie's kangaroo pocket and risk looking preggers. On the bright side this is the optimum of great if IMing is your thing and if you too want to look like Kirsten Cavalery from Laguna Beach. Available at T-Mobile.

"Motorola Razr V3 in Pearl Grey"

It's slick and slim. It's shiny beyond control and at the same time it's Motorola. Motorola is know for nice design but bad user interface- it takes ages to send a text message because of the awkward button panel and it's battery wasts faster than you can charge it. Recently I've noticed skins for these phone- in a wide range of prints fro LV Monogram to Checks. That is a plus. Go for this if you want small and comfortable and are savvy at handling tricky interfaces. At your nearest Cell Phone Retailer

"Samsung t519"

If your a no nonesense type this is for you. Samsung's design is pretty straight forward and simple yet chic. It's white and not flashy but makes it statement in style. It has all the features most phones offer nowdays- camera, internet etc. In a compact sweet design that is understated. From experience with samsung's phones they are great and sturdy, the battery lasts a while (i went for 4 days without charging mine once, with moderate use.) and it's user interface is easy to get understand even for my grandma (and that's something!). Go for this if you want to get the most for you money, aren't into flashing how much you spend on things and like simple things. Available in various retailers that hold Samsung.

"Apple iPhone"

This seems great, but I have my doubts. Apple is known for great design and understanding consumer needs but their products tend to be lacking in sturdy build. Sure, I guess that most people don't drop their iPods 5 times a week like I do, but sometimes things get knocked over or dropped and Apple's products don't handle those well at all (my iPod was sent to the lab 4 times and replaced by Apple twice.). I'm sure that the interface is great- and simple Apple's people have a great way of streaming things. The iPhone is pretty big- about the size of a 5G iPod or the size of your palm. It has a music player (duh!) and calnder and all those. It's got a touch screen but no camera, and Apple Boast about it being a revolutionary phone. The bright side- Mac user will get full syncing between phone and computer. Get this if you are a Mac Nut, or like big phones with questionable deurablity.

"Black Berry 8700g"

I like blackberrys. Even if not long a go their network fell down and left people helpless for 3 hours. They aren't that big for a phone with a full keyboard and if you're an email nut they're great. People in all sorts of industries are using them- from the white house to fashion folks.
I don't have much to say about these, but they look great and have a very good reputation.
Go for this if you have a top position in any company, are constantly sending emails and always need information.

"LG's Prada Phone"

The optimum of style. It's a lot like the iPhone in design and as it has a touch screen and is the same size. I don't see much design from Prada in it, other than the "Prada" on the top. It is pretty a stylish, much better than the iPhone if you ask me- LG is a great company. It's sleeker than the iPhone and screams "Fashionista!". The interface seems good, from pictures I've seen.
Go for this if you love labels, sleek black patent, and being the hippest there is.

I'm off to texting on my simple Nokia.

Karl Shreds The Catwalk

Or Chanel Couture picks.
This featured alot of shredding from the eye mask to the dresses. There was also a lot of shiny-ness (all for you Boks, see even Karl cares) and sequence (if I'm not mistaken.)

off to the pictures!

I like it, it's not innovative but it is pretty, which is a welcome change from past seasons (karl's denim obsession). Also, there's a nice twist on those leggings/tights. There's a bit of everything- feathers, sequence, plaid, fringe and frills.
What are you thoughts?

Lacking + Smashing

I haven't been posting, and while this isn't a hipster bash it is a fashion post.
I've been busy with school and getting my life back together, and will be leaving for Rome in 3 days! After that I (hope) to post a hipster bash, and maybe some pictures of Rome.

Wish me luck!

(soon a fashion post)
